RealTalk is a space built for the MIT Sloan community to have authentic conversations in a facilitated, small-group format. It uncovers points of celebration, friction, and overall hopes for the future of the school. As the data manager for this project, I am responsible for coding each conversation, highlighting themes, sharing results with key decision-makers, and updating the portal.

ADS Action Research for Continuous Improvement
This is a unique professional development opportunity for K12 schools to expand their knowledge and capacity for action research through the use of technology. Over ten weeks and four 75-minute, virtual sessions, each participating school explores their own research question, collects their own data, and shares their learnings. Since September 2023, KB has served as a Teaching Assistant for this course. The first cohort ended in December 2023, and the second cohort will end in July 2024.
An Overview of the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard
I completed a data science mentorship program through Kaggle. This project is a review of College Scorecard's 2020-2021 dataset. Using RStudio, I built this tool to help students understand and visualize some of the factors they should/can consider when deciding to pick their college. I focused primarily on location, population, and institutional characteristics.

Apple Distinguished Schools (ADS) Research Snapshot Study
The last few years have impacted schools around the world. In late 2021, the first global snapshot study explored Personalized Learning in Complex Times (PLCT), and shortly thereafter, the second study explored Teacher Wellbeing (TWB). I have worked with Dr. Damian Bebell, and we have collected, analyzed, and shared results on these two surveys with over 10,000 responses from teachers in over 100 schools in more than 20 countries.
