On Monday, November 17th, from 9:00–10:30, I had the pleasure of joining the Ethnographic Variations panel, organized and led by Dr. Jenna Hartel. The panel featured insightful contributions from Alex Lu, Kaitin E. Montague, Owen Stewart-Robertson, and Michael Twidale, with additional important insights from Niloofar Solhjoo.

In addition, I provided support for Dr. Hartel and Dr. Anna Mierzecka during Multivocal Writing: A Workshop on the Thematic Narrative on Saturday, November 15th, from 8:00–12:00. I was joined by Juliana Mestre and Owen Stewart-Robertson, who also assisted in making the workshop a success.

But perhaps the best part of the weekend was cheering on my classmates Jane Bartley and Hassan Mortada as they received their New Leader Awards from ASIS&T, as well as celebrating Dr. Heidi Julien, who was honored with the Award of Merit. Dr. Julien has been deeply influential in my academic journey thus far. All recognitions were richly deserved.

I am so fortunate to be part of such a kind, warm, and brilliant community of learners at the University at Buffalo. Moments like these remind me of the strength and generosity of the scholarly communities we build together. We learned together, laughed, sang karaoke (yes!!), and look forward to when we can all reconnect.
