Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart Comes to Boston

It was an absolute joy to welcome about 40 high school juniors—from Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart to MIT this week. I was genuinely surprised (and thrilled!) to hear they were interested in visiting while on their Junior Class trip. We took a walk through some of the most beautiful parts of campus, and even with the 90-degree heat, their energy and curiosity made it an unforgettable experience.
After a little while, they started to open up—not just about college, but about real things: what kind of people they hope to become, what they notice in others, how to find a career that feels right, and what's most important in the people and communities around them. I can certainly tell that they are from the City of Good Neighbors! 
Huge thanks to the incredible chaperones who walked beside them in the summer heat. Your care and dedication to these students was clear in every moment. And to the students: thank you for your questions, your laughter, and your openness. I can’t wait to see where your journeys take you.
