MIT Excellence Award

This recognition means so much to me for several reasons. The past five years at MIT have unfolded during a time of real change and challenge, but through it all, I’ve been grateful for the chance to work on fascinating projects, learn constantly, and be part of efforts that ask us to think differently and creatively about how we solve problems.

BUT the biggest gift has been the people, especially my colleagues in Institutional Research. Innovation, in my experience, rarely happens through solo effort, so a huge part of this award belongs to them. I’m deeply grateful to those who nominated me, my family, and the colleagues past and present who showed up to celebrate on a gorgeous Boston summer day. I am fortunate to do meaningful work with people who make it collaborative, creative, and genuinely fun AND I look forward to continuing this work for a long, long time! Congratulations to the other amazing awardees as well, including one of my good friends, Amanda!
